2008 Fender Shelby Cobra Stratocaster Body Super Rare FSR

Fender Shelby Cobra GT500K Stratocaster Guitar Body 

Made in the USA Made

The Stratocaster body features a replica of Carroll Shelby’s autograph, the Cobra logo, Shelby hood stripes and a hand-painted “GT500KR” body graphic.

The guitars were only available via a charity auction in January 2008

This body looks to have never been assembled.  The body has some flaws, see photos.  

Very rare, I read online that there were 100 made.

Above was the text of the listing and it was actually never finished or assembled. Later after some time I was able to locate the exact neck on 2/22/2021, from Alex on Reverb, [$400.00] the black headstock was not present but the custom made ebony fingerboard was intact, with the 22 fret set up. Unofficially this is guitar number “101” out of 100.

The noiseless pickups will be installed and this will be more of a daily driver rather than a show piece.

I was able to pickup a custom case made for another Shelby Guitar from a run of 200. Limited Edition Ford Shelby GT Standard Stratocaster® guitar made in 2007.
